Y. F. Chen is very active in laser research. In the recent issue of Optics Letters he published a result on Stimulated Raman scattering in a potassium titanyl phosphate crystal: simultaneous self-sum frequency mixing and self-frequency doubling, where they combine x(2) and x(3) nonlinear frequency conversion in the same crystal of KTP.
Last year, he had several publications in Optics Letters on similar topics, for example 1, 2. Very interesting works from him.
